Twist in Aamir Khan’s most ambitious project- the biopic of Rakesh Sharma
Anjum Rajabali said that he had written a script, which is based on the life of Rakesh Sharma. Rakesh Sharma is the India’s only cosmonaut. Sharma is the first Indian astronaut to travel to space.
Siddharth Roy Kapur produces this Mathai’s fim. The film is reportedly titled as “Salute” and produced under their banners RK Films and Aamir Khan Films. Rajbali approached Aamir Khan for Mahesh Mathai’s film the biopic of Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma. This is not because of script or any creative differences with anyone.
Recently a report carried on Saturday stating that Khan had exited Mathai’s project because of creative differences with the team. Anjum Rajabali said that repeatedly in a press meet that “He emphasised that he loved the script. While I cannot reveal why Aamir had to disengage from the project, I do know that his reasons had nothing to do with the project itself.”
A recent report claims that there were some points of disagreement between Aamir Khan and the rest of creative team, which finally made the actor to walk out of the ambitious project. If the rumors are to be unbelieved, then the shooting of this movie is scheduled to start early next year. Most probably after Aamir completing his upcoming movie Yash Raj Films “Thugs of Hindustan” shooting, this project will get oon to sets. The film is planned to release next year.
It was reported that this speculated project would star Priyanka Chopra opposite to Aamir Khan playing the role as wife of Rakesh Sahrma. Her next movie will definitely scale up the excitement among her fans in India. This is first time that this adorable combination is going to be on sets. In the beginning the confirmation from Chopra’s end took long time, Khan’s stint in the biopic as Rakesh Sharma was much awaited.
